Turkish Title: Filozoflar ve İnanç
Original Title: Thinking About Faith
Author: David Cook
David Cook takes an in-depth look at different philosophies and the ideas behind them in his book Thinking About Faith.
He explores the relationship between philosophy and religion, and deals with questions about faith, Christianity and philosophy. Without getting lost in fine distinctions, Cook gives detailed explanations of current and ancient philosphies and the main ideas behind them.
Christians should not be afraid of philosphy, Cook affirms, for it will strengthen, not weaken, our faith. His book is the perfect tool for anyone who has questions about philosophy and its role in our lives. It is also ideal for anyone who seeks Christian apologetics on the subject of faith and philosophy.
Wheaton College Philosophy Professor David Cook studied Mental Philosophy at Edinburgh University. He completed his Masters in Philosophy and then studied theology while he completed his PhD at New College in Edinburgh. In 1979 he moved to Oxford University, where he created a new theology degree and taught medical ethics in the medical faculty, and Christian ethics, theology and philosophy of religion in the theology faculty. He advises the Archbishops of the Church of England and the British Government, lectures internationally and preaches in a wide variety of denominations.
